MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Motor Cycle Death Ride - in Colour. DESCRIPTION: Stephen Ladd, stuntman and stock car driver, rides to his death in a tunnel of fire at Epping. SHOTLIST: SV Stephen Ladd kisses girl before getting in to Ford Escort. CU Ladd sitting in car. LV pan as he drives car up ramp for new high jump record. SV wall of fire. LV pan slow motion ditto. SV array of trophies on table. SV Stephen puts on helmet before tunnel of fire attempt. SCU he puts on gloves pan up to face. SV Stephen sitting on bike revving it before 1st run. SLV tunnel of fire. SLV he starts away for first run (downhill). GV pan as he races into tunnel, pan along tunnel. LV he rides out of tunnel. GV mouth of tunnel blazing fiercely, pieces starting to fall from wall. SV pan he starts away for 2nd run up hill. LV he rides into tunnel for 2nd time. GV pan along blazing tunnel. GV pan from fire engine as firemen drag hoses to fire. GV firemen trying to get in to rescue Stephen. SV as they carry Stephen out from tunnel. GV rescuers round Stephen & smouldering tunnel. SV firemen round Stephen fire chief kneeling over him. SCU fire chief trying to revive Stephen. GV remains of tunnel smouldering. SLV zoom in as body is loaded into ambulance. GV smouldering tunnel zoom in to mouth of tunnel.
