MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Shore Training for Carrier Pilots. DESCRIPTION: Young Carrier Pilots of the Royal Australian Navy in training on the deadly Skyhawks, the Navy’s newest hunters, but they are land based to start with. SHOTLIST: SV pan nose of Australian Navy Skyhawk. SCU pilot closes cockpit hood. SV plane taxiing for take off. LV 3 planes taxiing on runway. GV pan Skyhawk takes off. Air to air Skyhawk, 2 rockets fired at 40’. GV 2 Skyhawks leading, one fires 2 rockets. Pan to target area as rockets explode. GV pan plane touches down on runway and takes off again. GV towards and pan plane lands, touches down. SCU reflection of plane coming in to land in mirror at side of runway, zoom out to show plane landing. SCU reflection of another plane coming in. SV mirror at edge of runway. SV plane lands and is stopped by arrester wire. AS pan down as another plane comes in to land and is stopped by arrester wire.
