MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: World Cyclo Cross Championships. DESCRIPTION: Amateur and professional World Cyclo Cross Championships held at Crystal Palace. In the Amateur Class, winner was Klaus Thaler (W Germany) and in the Professional Class, Eric de Blaeminck (Belgium). SHOTLIST: GV tower Crystal Palace, pan down to crowd. MS zoom out bell being rung by spectator. GV amateur race starts. MS riders running up hill carrying bikes. 2 MS pan riders along dismount and run up hill. CU riders running over brow of hill, MS pan rider along road. CU sign finish 4 MS No 52 crossing line, winner on rostrum, pan start of professionals’ race, riders along course. CU No 45 dismounting and running up slope. MS riders running up slope and getting on bikes. MS crowd cheering them on. MS three riders along course and round bend. MS pan 3 riders along finishing straight. MS winner on rostrum being presented with medallion. AMATEURS - 1st Klaus Thaler, 2nd Robert Vermiere. PROFESSIONALS - 1st Eric de Blaeminck, 2nd Andre Wilhelm, 3rd Rolf Wolfshohl.
