MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bobby Charlton Retires. DESCRIPTION: Bobby Charlton, Manchester United Captain, plays his last match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, before retiring. Bryan Mears, Chairman of Chelsea presents Bobby Charlton with a silver cigarette box. SHOTLIST: SV Chelsea and Manchester United teams walk onto pitch followed Charlton on the end, pan with him. GV massed crowds. SV Bryan Mears chairman of Chelsea presenting Charlton with silver cigarette box. SV Charlton in centre of field prior to kick off. LV Charlton kicks ball goalwards before kick off. SV pan Charlton shakes hands with Chelsea captain. SV Charlton in play. SV he throws in on touch-line & goes into play. GV Charlton scores only goal to beat Spain for England in 1968. SV crowds at Manchester United v Benfica European Cup Final 1968. GV ball is passed to Charlton, he leaps into goal. SV pan as team mates applaud, aim missed, crowds in background cheering. SV pan as Charlton with team mate runs round field holding Cup. SV Charlton at end of game with Manchester United & Chelsea. GV massed crowds cheering. SV pan as Charlton walks off field for last time. BV he acknowledges crowds and is surrounded by press.
