- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Queen Hands Over Commonwealth Games Baton. DESCRIPTION: In the forecourt of Buckingham Palace HM the Queen handed over a Baton which contained her Opening Speech for the Commonwealth Games. Receiving the Baton, as the first part of the relay to Heathrow Airport and Canada, was Kenyan Athlete Ben Jipcho. SHOTLIST: MS three runners lined up (Ben Jipcho, Joan Alison and Jeanette Roscoe). CU feet jogging. MS the Queen accompanied by Prince Edward, Prince Andrew and Prince Philip greets runners. CU photographers. MS the Queen and Prince Philip talk to runners. MS the Queen hands over baton to Ben Jipcho. CU cameraman. MS three runners past and towards Palace gates.
