MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Government Faced With Grave Crisis. DESCRIPTION: Party leaders visit Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street in last minute effort to reach agreement. Sub.1. Events reach their climax in the sudden return of the King. SHOTLIST: Panning scenic shot of Nos 10 & 11 Downing Street. Arrival of ministers. Names are indistinct. First was Lord Sankey. Then Mr Lansbury. Later a group of other ministers walking together, including Mr Henderson. Shot of the crowd waiting in the street to see the arrivals. Panning shot with press Photographers in evidence. Arrival of Miss Margaret Bondfield. Three policemen stand and converse Mr Neville Chamberlain and Sir Samuel Hoare alight from car and go to the door. Mr Snowden and lady at doorway. (Chancellor of the Exchequer). Sub.1. Car drives through crowd lined streets. Car enters Buckingham Palace gates. Long shot of the Royal Standard flying.
