- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Schneider Trophy Contest 1931. DESCRIPTION: Fol. Great Britain wins outright in fly-over, the Schneider Trophy delayed by Saturday’s rain, the flight of the British entry took place on Sunday, no last minute arrival appearing. Lapping over the triangular course seven times Flt Lt Boothman broke the record of 1929 at an average of 340.08 mph. The World’s fastest speed prize, won thrice in succession thus finds a permanent home here. SHOTLIST: Shots of the plane being wheeled into the water. LS taking off. Shots flying. Flies past camera.
