- Summary
- COI synopsis: There’s something captivating about getting two things for the price of one. It appeals to all of us. In science and technology too, minds are constantly stretched in the search for devices with more than one purpose. A clock which has an unexpected second function: a burglar alarm. Once primed, the clock emits ultrasonic waves, flooding a whole room with unheard noise. An intruder causes the waves to change in frequency, which then triggers a raucous alarm.
