Summary
COI synopsis: Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens form one of London’s largest parks, but even the Londoners that enjoy its amenities know little of the ‘village industry’ on which it relies. In a hidden enclosure 200 carpenters, smiths and engineers maintain everything from seats and railings to tarring-machines, and in hidden green-houses gardeners rear plants and shrubs which make this such a beautiful corner of ‘London’s country’.
