- Summary
- COI synopsis: Industry - especially a long-established industry employing, as do Huddersfield’s mills, one-third of the local population - produces a closely knit community. This film examines the origins of Huddersfiled as a textile and engineering centre, and shows its factories at work, its shops and schools, how it cares for its old folk, and the recreational and cultural facilities which it has to offer.
