- Summary
- COI synopsis: In 1840, Britain invented the world’s first postage stamp - and she’s still the only country not to put her name on her stamps. So perhaps it’s only natural that London is still the foremost international centre for stamp enthusiasts, and the home of the world’s oldest and best known stamp dealers, Stanley Gibbons. Penny Croucher spent a day there, keeping an eye on deals which ranged from thousands of pounds to a few pence - all for small bits of paper which could bring their owners a fortune.
