- Summary
- NoS Summary - actress Josephine Earle having elaborate designs painted on her arms.
NoS synopsis: ""Really, with to-day’s sleeveless frocks one must try something to keep the chill away," Miss Josephine Earle, the well-known Stage and Film Star was saying --" She sits at a table with an artist - Mr May - and he paints a design on her wrist. "So, the Artist tactfully suggested that a little paint - tastefully applied, might help --". The design is of a snake winding its way around her arm. He then paints an elaborate design on her shoulder and arm. ""Funny how ideas recur" remarked Mr May. "Probably our ancestors tried the same thing a couple of thousand years ago ----". Miss Earle admires her designs. ""And feathers ought to be warm enough --" he added --". Mr May then paints a cockerel on her shoulder. Miss Earle poses for the camera displaying her body paint. She walks off and the artist cleans his brushes. - Researcher Comments
