Summary
NoS Summary - musicians playing a variety of instruments made from kitchen instruments.
British Pathe synopsis: High angle shot of a group of women walking around in a circle playing musical instruments. It looks to be a rainy day. The women wear white dresses, black waistcoats and black hats. There is a sign which reads: "Cabinet Kitchen Band." C/U of one of the women as she marches past - she seems to be the conductor and has medals or badges on her waistcoat. "They’ve everything in this band but the Kitchen Sink - " C/U of some of the musicians. A small girl (aged around 6 or 7) plays a teapot. The woman next to hear plays some sort of string instrument made from a large basket and a washboard. C/U of the young girl as she holds the teapot and plays a kazoo. "This lady spoons all day - !" C/U of a woman playing a kazoo attached to a strange instrument incorporating lots of spoons. "But, aren’t you glad this isn’t a "sound" picture!" M/S of the women playing. C/U of two women as one pours a cup of coffee out of her musical instrument which incorporates a coffee pot. Her friend drinks the coffee and the other woman plays her saxophone-like instrument.
