- NoS Summary - A traditional wedding ceremony and celebration in Germany.
British Pathe synopsis: L/S of a parade in a snowy street. Women wear elaborate traditional costume. People stand at the sides of the road to watch. Men carry what look like white trees. M/S of a band playing in the street. The bride waits for the groom at this wedding. A man with a large beard and wears a dark suit and hat in the centre of the picture. The groom arrives and shakes hands with his bride. "Ready for the fatal words - " C/U of the not-so-happy couple. She is smiling but he isn’t! He eventually cracks a smile when his bride says something to him. "Fortified!" The bride and groom are given glasses and they chink them against others’ glasses. They toast each other and take a sip. - Keywords
