- British Pathe synopsis: Pink tint. "Keeping an exclusive Boarding House for the aristocrats of Bird-dom is a high-class job!." Long shot of a room with dozens of bird cages hanging from the ceiling. Closer shot of some of the cages. Various shots of different birds in cages including a parrot and a pigeon.
"The Star Boarder has a "pull" with the landlady -" M/S of woman feeding a parrot with a glass of water or beer. She kisses parrot’s head and it snuggles into her neck.
"First-aid treatment is included." C/U (out of focus) of the proprietor attaching a bandage to a small bird’s foot. She holds the bird up against her cheek whilst the other woman looks on.
