Summary
NoS Summary - The common Gull is compared in beauty to the Peacock.
British Pathe synopsis: Devon. "Most women admire the feathered beauty of the Peacock, the ultimate in adorned splendour - " M/S of a peacock filmed in a clearing in a wood. "In his way, however, the common gull outshines his land rival in his graceful evolutions against a sea and sky background - (Brixham)" M/S of a harbour, small boats and birds splashing around in the water. L/S of the quayside. Large crowds watch as a man throws food out to the birds. "And no peacock approaches this in grace - via the slow-motion camera." Sailor sits on the quayside and the birds fly all around him - shot in slow motion.
