Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "In this case, the "hare’s" a "him", and who wouldn’t like a few charming "hounds" like these chasing one across country?" Story about a cross country bicycle paper chase. Man sets off on his bike, scattering paper from his bag as he leaves. A group of girls on bicycles wave him off. L/S of the girls about to set off. M/S of them smiling at the camera. L/S of them setting off. M/S of man getting off his bike and walking under a barbed wire fence. Various shots of the girls in pursuit. The girls jump off their bikes to push them through a ditch. They duck under the barbed wire. The girls pick up their bikes and carry them along a tow path. They jump off their bikes and push them down a hill. The "hare" rides through a river, the "hounds" follow suit. "And after the chase is over - a little "unstiffening" - " One of the girls stands inside the belt of an old fashioned "slimming" machine. Other girls stand in their coats putting on make up.
