Summary
NoS Summary - Jack & Claude Hulbert. Sophie Tucker, Frederick Carpenter and A. W. Baskcomb at the Winter Garden Theatre.
NoS synopsis: ""Rome" - and real acrobatics by Frederick Carpenter -" He leaps over a bevy of chorus girls dressed as Roman girls and does gymnastic leaps and turns. "But, in "Rome" they do as Rome doesn’t - especially when Sophie Tucker, and the "Roman" Guards (Jack Hulbert, Claude Hulbert, and A. W. Bascomb) get together." They do a little comedy routine involving bashing into each other when they march. Sophie sings a song (note - no sound) and the soldiers try and lift her up. "A real Policeman’s holiday - Jack and Claude Hulbert trip the light fantastic." They dance together as if with a woman - cheek to cheek. It is a bit of an Apache dance with one throwing the other around a bit. One of them poses with a rose in their mouth.
