Summary
NoS Summary - Trained birds perform various tricks.
British Pathe synopsis: "This kindly training of birds is a difficult job - some birds are little disposed to obedience and a lot of patience is required..." Stage set. Man in a suit stands behind a table which holds various props. C/U of bird (budgerigar) climbing up and down a little set of steps. Trainer clicks his fingers and the bird climbs up again. Another bird - a small parrot - climbs on a frame upside down. "The "Ring" jump is a good test." Birds jump through little rings. "And the horizontal bar..." Bird does somersaults over a bar. Trainer uses a little stick to make the animals perform their stunts. "The seesaw gives the bird an opportunity to show its intelligence and sense of balance..." Two birds play on a see saw. "And so to bed..." L/S of the set, The birds are herded up and into a little model house. The trainer shuts them all in after the last one has flown in through the top window.
