Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Painting (not painted) ladies, and not afraid of any man’s job." M/S of two women wearing overalls at the bottom of a metal chimney. One woman sits on a piece of wood suspended by a rope and another pulls her up by means of a pulley system. Attached to her little seat are a bucket and brush. Low angle shot of her getting higher and higher beside the chimney. View from below as she gets hoisted up. Low angle shot of the two women working at the very top of the chimney - painting it.
"Just to get a better view, Eve’s Cameraman goes up." Low angle shot of the cameraman climbing up the side of a metal construction - he has a tripod strapped to his back. L/S of him climbing up.
"And here’s the result - real high steppers." L/S of the two women dancing on top of the chimney! Closer shot shows them dancing together on a board which is balanced on top of the chimney. They do a Charlestonesque dance. Low angle shot of them dancing - it is a pretty tall and pretty narrow chimney.
