- BFI synopsis: Old Sherman tanks converted for opencast mining. Tanks seen in action; Sherman tanks (eighty of them) in a Staffordshire field. One is driven to factory where they are converted into machines for opencast mining. All the stages of the conversion are shown from use of oxy-acetylene cutters, overhauling of engine and installation of driver’s cab.
