- Summary
- NFA synopsis: at dawn on Thursday in October 1953. Sending steel sheet from Ebbw Vale by train and barge to London’s Brentford Dock, for the RTB factory at Blackwall. The barges are loaded with steel, and the Robertsbridge takes the barge down the River Thames - under Putney Bridge, past the Festival Gardens, Battersea Power Station, Victoria Railway Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, the ‘Discovery’, St. Pauls, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, and the Port of London. A smaller tug takes the barges up the River Lea to their destination.
