Summary
BFI Summary - An old car transformed into a refrigerator.
NFA synopsis: A scrap metal dealer buys an old car (possibly an Austin), which he strips down and sends the body off to the breakers yard. There are shots of scrap being cut up and compressed. The film then follows the use of scrap at steelworks, with shots of steel sheet manufacture. The ultimate goods produced from this scrap metal are then shown, including fridges and cookers in the showroom, with a young couple buying a fridge.
