NfO synopsis: Fifteenth Anniversary Souvenir Number. The first issue of The Gaumont Graphic was released 15 years ago today. We now recall some of the stirring events of that period. (5) ‘Raifuku Maru’ dramatrically rescued on the high seas by the ‘Homeric’ (6) Motor racing crash at 90 mph. (7) Heat wave in London. (8) U.S.A.F. Pilot Sgt. Roff attempts to drop 500ft without opening parachute. (9) The Shenandoah Disaster - Ohio. (10) WW1 recruitment rally. (11) Armistice Day. (12) German fleet surrenders. (13) The Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey. (14) The Prince of Wales returns from his tour of the Dominions. (15) Tim Healey - first Governor General of the Irish Free State. (16) The Duke and Duchess of York visit Northern Ireland.
