- News pictures of the century show volcano eruption at its height. Film taken by airplanes brings views never before seen of lava shooting from crater. San Sebastiano evacuated just before wall of lava burns its way into town. Spectacle of molten mass, thirty foot high, quarter-mile wide, pouring over countryside ranks among greatest ever brought to screen.
