- Newsreel history is made by graphic film report of the marriage of Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. Half a million people line route to cheer royal processions to and from Abbey. Scenes filmed in the Abbey give cinema audiences finer view of pageantry than was obtained by most of the congregation. This, this truly great newsreel, ends with pictures taken in Buckingham Palace of royal party and the radiant bride, and bridegroom [sic punctuation].
