Summary
Millions in London watch mile-long cortege proceeding from Westminster Hall to Paddington. The Queen and Royal Family, foreign royalty, heads of state and representatives of many countries follow King George VI in funeral procession. Ceremony is unique in spectacle and solemn splendour. Scenes of Windsor are moving climax as gun carriage is pulled through castle precincts and finally comes to rest at St George’s Chapel. Grenadiers carry body of dead Monarch into chapel.
