Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Anti-Noise Experiments. DESCRIPTION: Experiments lead to notable reduction in underground Hubbub. SHOTLIST: Underground travel, arriving at station etc. as seen from cabin of driver. The doors open. Shot of people entering train. Men in tunnel place padding on the side of the rail. Shots of rail being welded. Passengers enter doors. Guards stand at same. Doors close. Train starts off again as seen from driver’s cabin. Shot of hand and lever and of the driver in the cabin. Shot of the interior of the train and passengers seated. Shot of train entering silent section. Two passengers speaking loudly are affected by the silent section.
