Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Britain Mourns Loss of M2 Victims. DESCRIPTION: At St Anne’s dockyard church, relatives attend sad Naval Service at Portsmouth. Sub 1. Meanwhile, England pays her last tribute at sea with service aboard HMS Adamant. SHOTLIST: Sailors march past camera with wreaths. Enter church. Air Force men march past camera also carrying wreaths and enter church. Women with children follow into same. Sub 1. Aerial of ships on sea. Destroyers and submarine. Close shot of buoy with flag over spot where M2 went down. Long shot of destroyers. Close shot of ensign lowered to half-mast. Elevated view of wreath carried by sailors, lowered onto sea, after prayers over same. Wreath floating on waves. Destroyers in Line Ahead formation . Elevated shot of sailors firing salute. Ensign at half-mast. Clergy around same. Shot of two wreaths floating on the sea. Bugles play "Last Post".
