Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blackpool Is at Best During Wakes Week. DESCRIPTION: Blackpool is at its very best during Wakes Week says Carl Bernard. SHOTLIST: Crowds on beaches. Crowds of people lining up. Close shots of two small Scottish Terriers playing in the sea as the waves break. Two girls laugh at themselves in the distorting mirrors. Parade of wooden animals. Man drinks from bottle and sees these animals very queerly. Oyster and whelk stall. CU hand peppering oyster and man swallows one. Big man weighs himself. Scale over strained. Man looks through binoculars at girls in water. Wife snatches the glasses. View at other end of the glasses. Wife brings husband’s straw boater down on his head and shakes him.
