Story
- Summary
- NfO synopsis: A somewhat whimsical depiction of the events of the ‘Scopes Monkey Trial’ in Tennessee wherein the teaching of evolution was taken to task. Clarence Darrow represented teacher John T. Scopes who was being prosecuted for breaking a new Tennessee law that forbade the teaching of evolution. Prosecution was led by William Jennings Bryan. This piece takes a sardonic view of details, portraying Bryan as a monkey himself.
