Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wedding of King Farouk. SHOTLIST: Man with placard photograph of King Farouk walking out of camera towards pyramid. Women on Sphinx’s column arranging enlarged pictures of King and bride. Sheikh El Maraghi arriving at the Palace to act as judge at signature of marriage contract. Guns fire salute (101) as soon as the contract is signed. Street scenes showing crowds in Cairo. Back shot of procession of cars through gardens of Koubbeh Palace. Pipers in Gardens of Koubbeh Palace parade in honour of occasion. King Farouk on steps of Koubbeh Palace, awaits the coming of his bride, who arrive at 5 o’clock robed in wedding gown and attended by bridesmaids and page as in a Christian ceremony. King Farouk mounts the steps with Queen Farida.
