Summary
In striking contrast to pageantry of King Edward’s funeral - the procession was a simple one, but nevertheless, as impressive. By a strange coincidence, there were occasional bursts of snow as on the day when London first welcomed her in 1863. ... and for hours a vast queue braved the bitter cold to pay their last tribute to Alexandra the loved.
