Scientists and car cameraman prepared for months, with specially designed apparatus - to record that unique 23 seconds. The Corona, only seen at totality, and then but for a few precious seconds. Pathe cameraman, flying a mile high, photographs the effect of the eclipse as its shadow deepened.
