Summary
Everywhere - great tracts in both town and country submerged in a "dreary waste of waters". Timber laden barges "ran amok" at Kingston-on-Thames. Flood water bursts a railway culvert at Edmonton. Getting to work and home again was a great problem for workers in Lea Valley district. Scores of hungry Thames swans come ashore for food at Shepperton.
