- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Channel Swimming Now Seasonable. DESCRIPTION: Mr Temme who achieved feat in 1927 from Calais, just fails in his attempt on Dover side. SHOTLIST: Mr Temme on beach being rubbed down with grease. Dons helmet and swims off wearing glasses. Swims towards camera. The white cliffs of Dover are seen plainly in the background. Being fed whilst still in the water. Swimming along with another beside him. Shots of him giving up at 1.5 miles from the French coast looking very tired. Taken aboard boat. Close shot at Dover of Mr Temme talking to Movietone of ordeal.
