Summary
Men’s and Women’s Doubles Championships which take place in Massachusetts. Gardner Malloy with Henry Kossoff against Johnny Kramer and Ted Schroder. The latter pair win and are hailed as the youngest tennis pair within memory to win the National Doubles title. In the Women’s Doubles it’s Mrs Von Ryan with Miss Dorothy NoSy against Alice Marble and Sarah Palfrey. The Marble-Palfrey team are fighting for its fourth consecutive doubles title and although the challengers are a threat, the champions retain their title.
