Summary
British and Russian troops meet outside Kasvin, their Commanders exchange courtesies. On entering Kasvin a celebration is held in the Officers Mess. Then the march towards Teheran with the Russians from the north and the British sweeping up from the south. In this operation Indian troops made up a large percentage of the British contingent. In Teheran, the new Shah arrives at Parliament House to take over the office of his abdicated father. Inside are assembled the Cabinet Ministers to witness the taking of the Oath.
