Summary
The beleaguered city of Leningrad, her factories still producing everything the Front requires and even able to help supply the rest of the Soviet Union. Apart from this Leningrad is the home of the Soviet Baltic Fleet and gunners of the Red Fleet have been operating in conjunction with army units in the defence of the Eastern Baltic Port. A Polish army resident in Russia is equipped to fight alongside Russian troops, Hurricane pilots return to Britain having supplied Hurricane planes to the Russians and taught them how to use them. One such pilot received the Lenin award for his work. Near Moscow, the Russian cavalry make full use of the winter conditions and are on the trail of the retreating Germans. After the offensive damaged German tanks and trucks and other equipment are evident, also frozen bodies. Some German prisoners are taken.
