Summary
Prior to the Japanese entry of Manila, the city and its suburban areas were subjected to severe aerial bombardment, also Nicholas Field which was the American aerodrome. These raids were going on as MacArthur’s forces were preparing for the battle on the Bataan Peninsular and later on the Island of Corregidor.
