Summary
At Tottenham football ground Len Harvey defends his title against Freddie Mills for the Empire and British light heavyweight championship. Both boxers are in the RAF, Harvey being the senior by 13 years. In the second round Mills comes out of his corner and with a left hook to the chin drops Harvey for a count of nine. Then with a fusillade of lefts and rights Mills has Harvey at his mercy and one more shattering punch has Harvey through the ropes, leaving Mills with the championship.
