Summary
American bombers leave Port Moresby for Japanese targets at Lae, New Guinea. Australian land forces in New Guinea are constantly on the look out for Japanese planes on their way to Port Moresby and interceptor planes are sent up. The American bombers return to their base most of them with some minor scar but one bomber having had his hydraulic landing gear shot away makes a safe belly-landing.
