Summary
Two new battleships HMS Howe and HMS Anson receive finishing touches prior to being handed over to the Navy. The naval complement board the ships and supplies follow, after the dockyard workers have left. Captain Woodhouse takes over HMS Howe after the signing by the shipbuilders. Shells go aboard. Crews already on board at first pay parade. Naval Chaplain officiates at dedication ceremony. The "Howe" leaves the Graving Dock and goes in the Firth of Forth. At sea she is put through various trials and tests as planes are launched, her 14" guns have their first firing.
