Summary
American convoy ploughs through rough seas to bring reinforcements to the Marines on Guadalcanal. Marines are landed on beaches while aircraft give support. Fighting goes on around the vital aerodrome of Lunga and when the Marines go in it is still burning as a result of heavy bombing. Large quantities of Japanese equipment are captured.
