Notes

General
Julie Taymor was also responsible for the puppetry and masks used in the production. Ariel is a bunruku puppet; Trinculo and Stephano wear commedia dell’arte costumes and masks. The clowns are played by actors with experience in clowning - Kelly Walters appeared in Barnum and Reggie Montgomery was once a clown for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
