Hamlet 2: The Readiness is All

Synopsis
A programme in the Open University’s Arts Foundation Course.

The programme analyses Hamlet’s mind as he faces death. Brian Stone introduces scenes and speeches throughout the play and, by juxtaposing them, shows the correspondences "between the different sections which deal with fate, action and death". The programme include soliloquies the gravedigger scene and the final moment of Hamlet’s death. It raises the question as to what kind of hero Hamlet is and what genre the play itself is written in.
