Career

John Hall worked as an executive producer for Film and Television Divisions of the Central Office of Information [COI] and made several cinemagazines or magazine programmes during the 1960s. His first credit is for an issue of the ‘news magazine’ series British Calendar, later Calendar, ‘Royal Navy Anti-Submarine Programme’, British Calendar No.20, released 1961. From the mid 1960s he produced a number of COI series including London Line (1964-1978), The Enthusiasts (1967) and The Pacemakers (1969-1971). He was also credited as a director on the COI science magazine series Living Tomorrow (1969-1983) and Tomorrow Today (1969-1974). His earliest credit for both series is ‘FOAM FURNITURE’ Living Tomorrow and Tomorrow Today No.21, released in 1969.
