Anvil Films Ltd contributed to several magazine series produced by the Central Office of Information for overseas distribution for broadcast on television in the late 1950s. These included British Sporting Personalities, Topic and an issue of Transatlantic Teleview.
In 1959 Anvil Films Ltd were based at the Beaconsfield Studios and provided entertainment shorts and advertising material. The directors of the company were Ken Cameron, Ralph N. May; R. K. T. Scrivener and Richard Warren.
By 1973 the company were part of the Anvil Film & Recording Group Ltd, based at Denham Studios, which included the Realist Film Unit Ltd and World Mirror Productions Ltd.
