Career
On screen, he was often seen as military officers, constables and doctors, but was perhaps best known as Sgt. Stone in ‘Z Cars’ (1967-1974). He also starred in ‘Passport to Pimlico’ (1949), a role that is seen in ‘Pipeline to Pimlico’ in Mining Review 3rd Year Issue No.5 of January 1950.
Slater also has an early credit for ‘THE ELEPHANTS COME TO TOWN’ in Pathe News No.46/58 of July 1946.
