Career

Thomas was a freelance cameraman who worked for the Topical Budget as part of the camera team at major events during 1922 and 1923. His first recorded work was on the story ‘REMEMBRANCE DAY 1922’ for No.585-2 of November 1922, but he also worked on the ‘STATE OPENING OF PARLIAMENT’ for No.587-2 in the same month, ‘THE BOAT RACE 1923’ for No.604-2 in March 1923, and ‘THE ROYAL WEDDING’ for No.609-2 in April 1923. He then covered a series of sporting fixtures, ending with the St. Leger for No.629-2 of September 1923.
